  • aarrrghhhhh I miss your store !!!!

  • @Dobbs6651 It's pretty cool, split the board apart, enjoy the backcountry views while basically cross-country skiing ontop of the powder (you put skins on the board halves that grip the snow like cross-country skis). It's faster than hiking it, and uses less energy so you can get higher, and enjoy a longer trip down. You also won't need to wear snowshoes, which take up a lot of extra room and weight.

Some of the best places to board are not accessible by chair lifts.

  • @snoopyloopy The concept has been around for a long time. It's pretty cool, split the board apart, enjoy the backcountry views while basically cross-country skiing ontop of the powder. It's faster than hiking it, and uses less energy so you can get higher, and enjoy a longer trip down. You also won't need to wear snowshoes, which take up a lot of extra room and weight.

  • Also regarding flex you sure as hell better have a stiff board in the backcountry or you're gonna have one horrible day

  • @sierrasnowboard Thanx for the info,i just saw another video what this board is used for,i see your point there.its like 2 in 1.

  • @Keyholder79 - The performance changes a little, but can be improved by using bindings like the Spark R&D's the integrate to the Volle plates to keep the two sides of the board locked together.

Snowboard trekking is exploring the back county mountains with a snowboard. The split boards actually can be split apart and used with skins to trek like a tele skier to cover more ground in a shorter amount of time.
