Both songs of Ghantasala and Rafi are not only melodious but they also truly reflect the sadness of the moment when a girl leaves her home. India's greatness is in its culture and the singers like Ghantasala and Rafi could bring it out very easily through their etherial music renditions. It is not only foolish but also disrespectful to comment on those late singers.

Ghantasala's voice has that emotions and depth that Rafi's voice lacks.Plus Rafi cannot sing higher notes without his voice cracking.And his voice is thin not sweet.Talat Mohammad's voise is sweet.

Ghantasala fans! Please don't take it on your hearts. It seems that he is not singing but merely crying. There is a lot lot difference between weeping and singing. Moreover, this is a stolen melody and Muhammad Rafi sang the original with utmost perfection and Rafi voice is much more sweeter. It seems that a Mannaday is trying to sing as good as Rafi, but i must say that ghanta has, I am so sorry to say, has miserably failed. He has lost the chram of this great melody of Rafi Sahab's voice.

Ghantasala's version is similar to rafi's version of chal ud ja re panchi. Ghantasala's voice, depth, modulation, expressions etc. (if language is understood) are more superior to rafi's rendition of hindi. The ending raga is very beautifully rendered than the hindi version. Simply awesome. Ghantasala is the greatest playback singer ever produced by the country.
