If you have never played the video game, you really cannot criticize the movie. The video game is way more detailed in what actually has happened to max payne. and the enemies he faces, are way different than what is seen in the movie.

From seeing this I can guess that although the movie has a simple and maybe confused plot, it still transfers the atmosphere from the game. Gonna watch this as a light thriller while letting go of any intellectual aspirations I may have. I hope I have. ;p
