I dont think it was shonen jump that wanted to cancel it.....the writer Hiroyuki Takei decided to end it cause he just wasn't getting into it, but there's good news he's decided to continue it some time in the future.

@Inazuma163 even if it wasn't shonen jump decision which i'm certain it was letting him stop would have cost the company a lot of money. And they pressured other artist into prolonging there series so why wouldn't they now. My reasoning behind this is that they tend to cancel series if it doesn't have enough votes and not wither its terrible or good, And i don't care if he continues it or not if it doesn't hit the american market then it doesn't finish the series

@Lordoftheflame1000 the reason i say the anime is better is because of the definite ending cause the way he ends it is pathetic and no because most of the manga i read is in book form and unless its printed i wont likely read it

i like the manga much better than what i have seen of the anime. the manga is just so spiritual, the energy system is actually good in my opinion for the fact it makes the characters have to conserve the energy and use what they have as they best see fit, but the whole dieing thing is becoming a little bit of a hack at the point i am at. i can't wait to get further and i hope the ending is good dose shaman king Zang bang count for what you are talking about?
