  • "It was a marvelous night, the sort of night one only experiences when one is young. The sky was so bright, and there were so many stars that, gazing upward, one couldn't help wondering how so many whimsical, wicked people could live under such a sky."

    — Fyodor Dostoevsky

  • Stunning images! Absolutely breathtaking!

  • This is our home in the universe.....It's so incredibly beautiful. One quote comes to mind when I watched this clip, "If we do not destroy ourselves, we will one day, journey to the stars". The man who said this was a wonderful human being. His name was Carl Sagan.,

  • People say the earth is beautiful, that all the tundras, forests, arctics, and deserts are beautiful, but when you think about it, the universe is beyond that beauty, somewhere out there not far from earth there are other planets with tundras, forests, arctics, and deserts that are far more beautiful than here on earth, the universe is everything we know, it contains all the knowledge the human race will ever need until the end of our species, no one knows what kind of life could be out there.

  • Awesome. Where area of the park did you shoot this in?

  • melodious and relaxing music....

  • The most beautiful part in my perspective is when you understand that the earth is moving, and not the sky.

    Excellent video !

The long exposure times used to put this together are required to get views like this. However, in a really dark location, away from city lights, on a clear moonless night, you can see mind boggling views of the milky way with no equipment needed. It appears as a massive band of cloudy haze across the sky, and it will change your perspective on everything. :)
