I was born in Coos Bay. When I was a kid we walked and camped in the Dunes, it was one of the most peacefull places on Earth. The last time I went it was full of people blasting obnoxious music and driving everywhere without concern for who they might hit. Dune buggies area a blast and benefit the dunes to an extent. I think they should open it in certain areas to control the spread of grass and leave other areas safe for hikers or kids to roll down without fear of anihilation.

There are already several places that are closed for hiking only in the Lakeside area. I also grew up here and they have already closed to much of the dunes and making it more dangerous as more people are in a smaller area. Right in the Horsfall area there is a day use park closed to vehicles for you to hike and kids to play
