In this clip Ben-Ami speaks about the American-Israeli radical right and how dissent is suppressed through semantics and group association. Shlomo Ben-Ami was Israel's Minister of Public Security under the Barak government from 1999 and in August, 2000, Barak appointed Ben-Ami as Israel'S acting foreign minister. Ben-Ami was officially appointed foreign minister in November 2000. Ben-Ami remained foreign minister and security minister until March 2001 when the Sharon government took office. Ben-Ami refused to serve in the Sharon government. Ben-Ami's latest book is 'Scars of War, Wounds of Peace: The Israeli-Arab Tragedy'.

Reason of US-Israeli special relation is not something surreal or artificial in mind of only jews.

Its real and beneficial for both sides because Israel work hard to build it (relation) and in fact give US and west important victory in cold war. This small country made itself into regional supper power and first class country in every way. Science, industry, agriculture etc and it is a western democracy.

Granted there are differences but fact is Israel politically close.
