VIETNAM MUSIC VIDEO welcome home to all Vietnam vets thanks all gave some some gave all What Did You Do in the War, Daddy ? call of duty black ops filmed around Volunteers Good Morning Vietnam The United States entered the war to prevent a communist takeover of South Vietnam as part of their wider strategy of containment. Military advisors arrived beginning in 1950. U.S. involvement escalated in the early 1960s and combat units were deployed beginning in 1965. Involvement peaked in 1968 at the time of the Tet Offensive. Despite Paris Peace Accords, a peace treaty signed by all parties in January 1973 and Case-Church Amendment, a legislation passed by the U.S. Congress in June 1973 prohibiting further direct U.S. military intervention without Congressional authorization, the U.S. was still heavily invested in the war until 1975. The capture of Saigon by North Vietnamese army, in April 1975, marked the end of Vietnam War. North and South Vietnam were reunified the following year. The war was fought between the communist North Vietnam, supported by its communist allies, and the government of South Vietnam, supported by the United States and other member nations of the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO). a Vietnam pilots war footage of choppers and fire birds AHC Between June 1964 and December 1972 around 3500 New Zealand military personnel served in South Vietnam. In contrast to the First and Second World Wars, this country's contribution was modest. At its peak in 1968 the New Zealand force only numbered 543. Thirty-seven died while on active service and 187 were wounded. The Vietnam War − sometimes referred to as the Second Indochina War − lasted from 1959 to 1975. In Vietnam it is often referred to as the American War. It was fought between the communist Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) and its allies, and the US-backed Republic of Vietnam in the south. It ended with the defeat of South Vietnam in April 1975. Nearly 1.5 million soldiers and perhaps 2 million civilians died during the war. creedence clearwater revival greatest hits Apocalypse Now Black Hawk Down M*A*S*H What Did You Do in the War, Daddy?

  • @WickedTornado I know where you're coming from, but, I thing you misunderstand the liberal viewpoint. I (being a semi-liberal) support the military, but i usually disagree with politicians.

  • Uncle was an infantryman in the war, when he he got captured Jane Fonda visited his prison. He said that that "the dumb bitch wasn't really being anti-war, she just wanted to feel edgy by insulting the people who were willing to die for stars and stripes". And that was coming from a COMPLETEY pacifistic Socialist (the war turned him into a completely different person)

  • Me thinks Jane Fonda be VC. Then again, maybe not. The VC were tough, hardened fighters. Fonda was a soft, spoiled decadent counterculture radical hiding behind Western freedoms, such as sex, drugs and rock and roll, while advocating for anti-liberal ideologies. She would probably be upset at the move by Vietnam toward western values in the last two decades, not to mention the increased prosperity of the country as a whole. I say we send her to a "re-education" labor camp for 20 years.

  • @exrock712 Jane Fonda is a piece of shit. Directly or indirectly she got guys killed. If she was the only person on TV I'd burn the set.

  • @SuperGetitgotitgood

    "4 VC dislike this " ? ?

    Tough Titts !!

  • America had the choppers. VC/NVA had the will to die in numbers America couldn't comprehend. You can't win by air alone. On the ground in the jungle America struggled. Back home, Jane Fonda and the New Left waged their own "war behind the lines".

Very divisive time. Tough to unite the country.

  • I missed that war by about 2 kyrs. (57 yr. old now). My wife and I always support the military....we're not afraid to say so even around a horde of liberals. BTW....what was the hand-signal that guy on the ground was signaling to the chopper above him at 2:04? God Bless all you vets. Godspeed to your healing, whenever and whatever that might be.

  • @jab3785 Thanks for your service, Vet's back then got no respect, like it was their fault we were involved in war....lrrp' s were the shit.bad ass army rangers, wearing tiger stripe cammo's

  • @SuperGetitgotitgood make it 5 lets go hunt em down cmon

  • I actually didn't expect the Rolling Stones, kind of fits when you realize they probably downed a lot of enemy helicopters, so they want them "off their cloud."
