The 13th January 2012 marks an important milestone for India - one year without polio for the first time in history!
It's a remarkable achievement: and one that many thought would never be possible.
India has long battled to get the upper hand in the fight against polio. In 2009, India recorded the highest number of polio cases in the world, and many said it would never stop the spread. But since then, remarkable efforts -- including the support of Cricket superstars like Tandulkar, Shewag, Raina and Pathan -- have changed this story, ushering in the first 12 months without a case in the nation's history.
As India approaches its historic milestone, Aussie fast bowler Brett Lee joins polio survivor and cricketing legend Chandrasekhar - to call on cricket fans to send messages of support to India's polio eradication team.
Join Brett and Chandra in sending a hero message to India's polio eradication teams at www.theendofpolio.com/365no. The cricket club that posts the most messages will win a commemorative bat signed by cricketing legend Chandrasekhar.
