Almost everything including the tanks is reusable. Sad to know that obama rejected the project since he thinks other things are more important.
If you knew something about gravity and propulsion you would know humankind has no technologies that afford more advanced propulsion systems. But theyre working hard on it and maybe it will not get finished within your lifetime. To bad but nothing to do about that.

Nov. issue of Popular Science p.78 they claim these will replace the space shuttles by 2015, an 5 years later man will be back on the moon

It can leave Earth Orbit, therefore it IS better than the shuttle.

this does not make any sense! why are they going back to the 1960s instead of making something better than the space shuttle? this thing is not even reusable! is it?

Apollo/CEV v.s. Shuttle are two completely different platforms. The Shuttle is desinged for geting people and payload into orbit, allow them to do experiments all in one mission. Apollo was designed to get 3 people to the moon with limited experiments. was

CEV Orion seems to be NASA admitting that they had a good thing going with Apollo and that the Shuttle was a deangerous and deadly mistake.
