This video shows how my test framework for GUI Test works. The framework is quite alot inspired by QTP and it's method names.

But this framework take benefits of both the .net language and the NUnit - and the test framework was made in less than three 3 days. :-)

There is no sound on the demo. But the story about it is, that I really like QTP but do not afford to buy it. So instead of buying QTP I mad this framework, that can be used for whatever web application you, that that uses either plain html or ajax. Even popup boxes is handled by the framework - but ok - the web app has to be executed in an IE.

In the GUI test there is 33 regression tests with 100 assertions - all the test cases is executed automatically in only 4 minutes.

You can follow my blog at http://testautomatisering.blogspot.com/ (only in Danish)
Use google translate, then you might be able to understand a bit of the text.

  • Not for this automation session. But I have used QTP for other projects, the downside for QTP is the licens costs. Therefor I build my own GUI test tool

  • But this framework of yours is not publicly available for free or as open source? Also, why not just build framework around Selenium or WatiN (w/ or w/o NUnit) as both have .NET support.
