im thinking of making my cat-less 3" turbo-back with glasspack into a side exit with no muffler. how much attention do you get from police? and is it too loud to daily with droning on the highway?

@tssandholm well,, depend on where you live. in where i live. (i live in oregon). yes you will become cop magnet because it's still farm town with old people on the road.

but i dont think it's going to be super loud on normal driving on high way. i drive this daily and once i get rich air flow by going faster than 55 sound tone down to anyother after market tone (hope you know what i mean.).

I wish I could measure dbs but got no tools it's very loud when it's cold started but when it's warmed up it's bit louder than most 4 banger motor with exhaust

@mantviux actually, not like other JDM loud loud.... it is louder than most of TTs but not crazy loud as you think except when it cold started... lol... when it's cold started... i think its too loud... but when it's warm up... i think it sounds like straight pipe, if you know what i mean ^-^;;

@Baienziichter You will GAIN 2-3 hp by removing the middle silencers, because it will reduce backpressure and make a sportier sound without too much noise.

I ve a Golf 2 with the Audi TT 225 engine, so could you tell me if I´ll take away the two middle mufflers, if I lose any hp? This sound is so great man, so if you can tell me that there is no hp lose, I ´ll built a straight pipe too:) ?

@xBRoKeNxProductions It doesn't hurt the turbo one bit revving it like that. If you're thinking about what a turbo timer does with not shutting off the car right away, that's only when you HEAT up the turbo. Hard driving heats it up big time and that is when you have to worry about shutting the engine off too quickly. You want to let the oil/water cool the turbo a bit before shutting the car down. Revving it and turning it off won't do anything.
