1992 Mahopac Cavaliers Marching Band

My high school marching band, the Cavaliers (from Mahopac, NY), perform at the New York State Field Band Conference championships at the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University on Nov. 1, 1992. We took first place in class A2. The selected pieces of music are Toccata & Fugue and a Night on Bald Mountain, Danse Macabre, and The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Hey, this was pretty awesome! I was drum major in 2007 and sadly to say we weren't near this good. I was in the band from 2003-2007. We had a decent show of Jesus Christ Super Star in 2003, and yes Stock was still the director. I always thought what it was like to be in the band before and how we all probably had very parallel experiences, nifty.

all I can say is that we're not a rural town (unlike according to the news...). Why hate on Mahopac? Love this. Brass is really strong here... unlike now... but still, cool to watch this!

Very cool. Brings back memories of being in the MHS Cavaliers 1981-1985. I was in the brass section (mellophone).

I was drum major at Mahopac in 83 and 84 (ass't DM in 81 and 82). Quite a difference.

We didn't get new uniforms until 2004 i think, and yes they were very spiffy. Copaigue borrowed them for a scene they were doing in a movie i believe.
