I love how this song so beautifully and dramatically evokes and pinpoints - PINPOINTS - the moment where the character realises he's going to die, and his death's inevitable, and nobody really cares. And there's that despair, the wonderful despair in the music that I think only Coulton can really capture in this way, where an old trope becomes something more, something you didn't really think about from both sides before now.

No, I'm trying to drive home a point. For a community that preaches to love and tolerate, brash behavior like what was displayed is hardly what I would consider toleration. Not saying "shut up and take it" or any of that sort of nonsense, but there are much better ways of handling a disagreement with a fellow fan. Especially in a community that gets so talked down about.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware humor was why we were hated.

Such belligerence, I mean, really. I hardly think a brony who had this show drag him out of suicidal depression after losing his leg and going through a divorce, logging on to the internet one day, finding a rather costic and confrontational comment directed to troll a fellow brony, and cracking a joke was why we are hated.

If you feel that way, then obviously I shouldn't be so proud of the fandom.

Amazing book which will change how you look at sci-fi shows forever. Heaven knows it did for me! I heard it's up for a Hugo. It definitely deserves it. Liked the song, too. The refrain is spot on - They said this air would be breathable. Yep. -_-
