  • Nikon!!! Pay attention.. something you've not really been good at in over a decade. IF USERS ARE HAVING TO TAKE FLASHES APART AND DREMEL DOWN DESIGN COMPONENTS FOR THE ITEM TO WORK EFFECTIVELY... THEN SOMEBODY AT NIKON NEEDS TO MAKE SOME DESIGN CHANGES!!! --- Oh yeah, I forgot. That's why Nikon came out with the SB-900 as a correction to the SB-800, just like the D700 was a fix for the D300 which was a fix for the D200 and on and on...

  • canon user I presume? 8)

  • Lee,

Thanks for this. Kelli just dropped a flash and it won't rotate at all. I now feel a bit empowered to try with that one.

    Bill

  • Ya, I bet you will be able to easily fix it. Once you try the first one it's not so scary

  • Any issues with over rotating which causes the wires to twist up inside?

Meaning, forgetting that you rotated it back (either clockwise or not) therefore, when you go to return it ot the front, you may turn it the "wrong" way? Or is this something that is not an issue? Or does the flash actually stop at the 180 degree point (in either direction turned - post mod).

  • KILL the music If I wanted to listen to music I listen to what I wanted to not what you want to..and my Canon 580 EXII will turn both way with out having to mod it :) Canon Can

  • @VanHoolPilot

    Yeesh! Stop hating Nikon!

  • @zaelvm I took the old school route. I sent it to a repair facility. Good as new.

  • @seacoastbill @seacoastbill I have the same problem, did you find a way to fix this?

  • its his first video on youtube....I think he got excited and add the music, give hima break lol Good try tho bro, info was very helpfull, ty

  • D300s is the correction for D300, not D700, which is a FX camera

  • @kardoayoub Nikon has been so frantic in their chase tying to keep up with Canon over the past decade, they have released to the public products that are less than they should be. Look at the Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 VR, even Nikon acknowledged it was poorly designed and rushed to replace it with the VRII which actually did what the original was advertised to do, well... almost. I was shown last week how Nikon fixed the excessive falloff and the fix was hilarious. Remember... I AM A NIKON FAN!
