Comet Elenin 20110826 Latest Images from Australia GRAS-009 with Francis

It was an early but productive morning down in Australia with the GRAS telescopes. I took about 10 different images of Comet Elenin with GRAS-009 and GRAS-012. I took close up and wide-field shots.

The Sun was still shining at the horizon when I began so the quality of images got better the later it got.

this thing should be visible to the naked eye, just in front of the sunrise pretty soon right? they say the whats it called (cloud of gas)around it is the size of jupiter now right?

@y0utUBeH8r I would think a telescope is going to be able to see this "cloud" before we can say there is one. I am doing a video from the images I took yesterday morning now. It's the first time I looked at them. I sent them to TBar1984 yesterday morning and he made his video from them. I worked all day yesterday at the observatory and helped a friend move. This morning is the first time I got a chance to look. here I go. TY ~ F.

@hawaii50th I use a robotic telescope system where I can access 14 telescopes on 3 different continents. It is "The Global Rent a Scope" network. The have enough information on their website that a beginner can learn how to use them if they take the time to watch some videos and read some information. ~ F.
