The music works !
It really makes her feel alone in her lasts moments of life, which she was, cut off from radio contact from the fleet.
The real music used by Blizzard is fucking cliche, typical Han Zimmer ethnic dude chanting a bunch of nonsense that nobody has a clue what it means.
Sara is a female, a female should be singing in the audio. Also the humming sounds a lot more Starcraft then the sound of loud gunfire used in the real scene.
Sometimes silence works, this is one of them.
