This is a pretty good value motherboard. If you are putting together a budget rig, you should keep an eye on the NCIX weekly specials for when it's included in some pretty crazy bundle deals.
It's funny to hear folks call this junk without hands-on. I bought the gigabit version of this board (the cheaper version was only 10/100) for 3900 yen in Fukuoka, Japan two years ago. I put a Celeron 430 (Conroe L, like half of a Core-2 duo, only 1 core) on it for using (64 bit only) Server 2008R2 with 1 stick of low-profile 2GB DDR2 800MHz ram. CPU cost 2000 yen. My Hitachi Sata 2 (3Gb/s) 2TB drive cost just over 12,000 yen. Total cost was under $220 U.S. w/cheapo case. Still runs 24/7/365.
