True. Hornet CV-8 was lost in battle about six months after the Doolittle Raid. CV-12 was under construction and was re-named Hornet in its predecessors honor. It was the surviving Hornet paying their respect to the Doolittle Raiders in this video.

I've been on USS Hornet CV-12, it was so awsome. She was and is a remarkable ship. It was also cool to be close to the NAS where the Doolittle Raiders borded the CV-8 Hornet.
