Got nothing better to do? Then take a ride with me through northern New Jersey on Interstates 280 and the NJ Turnpike. See all kinds of interesting stuff as we pass by Jersey City, Kearny and the Newark Airport. North Jersey has rough roads and a lot of haul ass traffic so it's not boring. Pretty long video with lots of my usual type comments.

  • this isn't north jersey. I live in Sussex County, as north as you can get and these places are like an hour away from me

  • @whatsup45 All in the interpretation. For most, anything north of Exit 7 is north Jersey. In New York I know people who consider anything north of the GW, upstate whereas people upstate consider anything south of Bingo, downstate.

  • just two comments: at 3:25 you pan left and text that that's jersey city; actually jersey city is to the left and behind you at this point (to the direct left would be ok but there's no skyline there to speak of), what you see is kearny and the jersey meadows south; at 5:08. when you "put the hammer down", that's just before the point where the state police, and sometimes local, wait to nail your a**, best place to do that is south end or airport, and stay in truck lanes, for god's sake!!

  • @eswillie Hey wille, you know your north Jersey. Problem with Jersey cops doing radar in that area is that they always leave it on. How they catch people is because they ignore the X-Band or have it disabled because "no cops use X-Band anymore" but NJ still does. I see them nail people on both the Turnpike and Parkway with X and I just laugh. Local boys are worse as they never shut it off and it scatters for 1/2 mile. I appreciate your geographical corrections as I prefer accuracy to glory.

  • NO RECIPROCITY IN NJ!

  • @smackdaddy542 perhaps one of the sweetest of all benefits.

  • @vbdenny this is true

  • DON'T LEAVE NJ!!!!!!!!!!!! I made the move to FL for lower cost of living. Don't buy it!!! Yeah the housing is cheaper, there is no state income tax and taxes are about half. Gas is the same price, salaries are lower and now pay into your pension so a 3% pay cut, car insurance is higher and food is ALOT higher. Good luck getting affordable homeowners or renters insurance too. Now I wanna get back to the great state of NJ

  • @jerzeytpke Well, we mainly live in Virginia but my wife worked in north Jersey for several years. Now she works in Massachusetts so that is much cheaper than Jersey. Virginia is very inexpensive at least as far as property taxes go but of course like everywhere else, they get you one way or another.
