I am an Indian first.. and then a hindu. My heart goes out to all Muslims across the globe... because they get discriminated against because a few Islamic ppl have made life difficult for them.
Ppl shud learn to not generalize ... every individual has his own identity.. irrespective of what his religion, race or color is. I hope this dialogue knocks some sense into a lot of ignorant non muslims...... Peace.

@rajeevbat Many Indians know Urdu really well, and u should have said as someone who is not familiar with Urdu;I know its a small thing, but the 1st line of ur comment,i thought, depicted Indians as ignorant of Urdu....so,I was a little berated,as I myself am proficient in Urdu....so,sorry if it hurt u dude! BTW ur comment on d whole is very said!
By far.. the most powerful dialogue in any movie whatsoever.. As an Indian, I cant understand most of the Islam specific words that Naseeruddin Shah uses, but the meaning touches the heart.. Brilliant description of Islam.. I think everyone should see this scene so that their misconceptions are removed!

Don't counter prejudice with prejudice, dear brother. Pakistan has hindus too, loyal to Pakistan and India has Muslims loyal to India. So, when you are attacking the other religion, you are actually targeting some of your own countrymen, and your OWN country.
Btw, among the first converts to Islam in the subcontinent were from Kerala (south India) because the Arabs used to trade with the port of Cochin there. (Cochin is also where Vasco Di Gama landed opening the gateway to India for Europe)
