This is made with metal that i had around the yard. It is 650 gallons of water and it heats it up to about 150 degrees. A pump at the heater pushes the hot water to a heat exchanger in the furnace duct work. It also has a coil for the house hot water system. Saves around 300.00 per month. Wood that was used last year was about 12 rick of wood. This boiler heats 2 homes one house 2000 square feet and a trailer house 1100 square feet. I got all the controls and pumps from Alternative Heating & Supplies. Hope this helps out. I know its saved us money.
