An interpretation of a teenage girl's suicidal thoughts, and how she made the move to seek help. It follows her journey through her darkest times and what she felt during those days.

She described her help-seeking "the bravest thing I've ever done". Initially, she felt like she was beyond help, but with determination and coping skills, working with her therapists, she "started to heal" and got better.

  • Very interesting video. I love the puppetry. But I feel like people often forget that it's not only the obvious people who are depressed. Depression can strike anyone for any number of reasons, and we must always keep that in mind.

  • @ShelbyGalaxy You're right Shelby. That's why it's important to reach out to someone you think may be in distress, even if that ends up not being the case.

  • Very moving, I feel like this now.

When you say you are feeling like this now - feeling like the person in the story before or after things got better? Check out ReachOut.com for information and support about all kinds of issues. And if you need to speak with someone right now, give the Boys Town (not for boys only) hotline a call at 1-800-448-3000.

  • @Porkytool5 why? killing yourself would just make everyone around you misrable. It'll get better, believe me I know

  • @ShelbyGalaxy {I just wish people woul dunderstand how depressed i was, instead of calling me emo, or laughing at me when im trying to find someone to talk to about my problems. even doctors perscribe me things i do not need. I watch videos like these, its like my way of talking to someone, though they r talking to me, its a visual of equalness to me.

  • i now want to kill myself more than ever after watching this

  • Life is so horrible and tends never to get better. Dying seems like the only way to make it out alive.

  • I use to be like this but I began to help myself, I somehow did it alone.
