Jessie's POV

Me: Hello?
What a pleasant way to wake up on a Sunday...to my ringtone. Well, I guess it's better than my alarm clock, cause that sound gets on my nerves, or my sisters hitting me with pillows like they did last week, or...wait what was my point again? Oh yeah. I guess I just mean I don't want to be woken up on a Sunday. It's the only day of the week I never have to work on. And besides, why would some one be calling me this early in the morning? It's only....I look over at my clock. Oh. It's noon. So I guess I can't be as mad as I wanted to be to the person on the phone. Oh yeah! There's a person on the phone. Almost forgot.
???: Hi. Is this Jessie?
Me: Yeah.
???: Oh, hi. It's me, Joe.
Joe?!? I immediately sit up straight and start fixing my hair which I soon realize is really pointless and stupid.
Me: Hey, Joe! What's up?
Joe: Um, well, I-I was just w-wondering if maybe, (clears his throat) um, you wanted to h-hang out today?
OMG! Joe wants to hang out with me!!! And he actually called! And I think he was stuttering when he said that. He is soo cute!
Joe: I mean, you know, if you can. If you're busy, I completely understand. But-
Me: I'd love to!
Joe: Really?!?
Me: Yeah, definitely!
Joe: Okay, cool. How about I pick you up at 1:00? Sound good?
Me: That sounds great. I'll see you then, Joe.
Joe: Wait!
Me: What?
Joe: Uh, I don't know where you live.
Me: Oh yeah, I forgot.
Joe: You forgot where you live?
I laugh.
Me: No, Joe. I forgot that you didn't know. I live at 18th Avenue Winning Street. It's the 3rd house on the left.
Joe: Ok, thanks. You better get out of bed and start getting ready. I know girls take a while, and you only have an hour.
I start instinctly looking around my room. I didn't think he'd actually be in here, but still.
Me: Can you see me somehow?
Joe: (laughs) No. I knew I had woken you up the second you said hello. You sounded really tired.
Me: Oh. Well, you can apologize now.
Joe: For what? I didn't do anything wrong.
Me: Well, usually, when you wake someone up on accident, you apologize.
Joe: Who said anything about an accident?
I pause. CAN he see me? How did he know I was asleep? Then he starts laughing again.
Joe: Jessie, calm down. I didn't know you were still asleep. But honestly I don't think you should be sleeping at noon anyway, so I personally think I did you a favor.
Me: Gee, thanks.
Joe: Your welcome. And remember, one hour. Your time starts....NOW!!
I laugh. It seems like I'm always doing that with this boy.
Me: Bye Joe.
Joe: See ya.
