    You have to cut away the glass from the sealant from the outside of the window for windows with the glazing stops to the interior. The only real safe way is with a ladder or staging.

    Caulking the installed glass. What's the reasoning of applying caulk 6 to 8 inches up on the sides and on the bottom. Why arn't you including the top half along with the top?

    good question. there are drain holes under the glass unit that will evacuate water that inevitably gets into you glass cavity. if you have a severe rain storm that dumps a lot of rain in a short period of time, it may overwhelm the drainage system and come up over the interior bottom edge of your glass stops. By caulking along the bottom inside edge and up 6 to 8 inches along the sides, you contain this water give it a chance to drain over a longer period.

    A thermal unit in this case is a double pane glass unit. This can be made at most glass repair shops. they would need to know the size of the glass, the thickness of the double pane exterior to exterior and if yo want clear glass or glass with LoE argon.

    The company "Guardian" maded in ~2009y new ultra window: VIG (vacuum insulated between glases). Between glases there have nothing - only vacuum (now - standart windows: technical dry air or in best case: argon or another inert gas)...

    Between window he put small pills at every 2-3 inch for protect of vacuum implosion.

    For best results and energy safe windows try: 3-panel glases+ 4 seasons or K-glases+ min x32-40mm distance+ vacuum or argon between glases+ windows profile is filled with foam.
