I'm having a great year for catching bee swarms. Which reminds me, I need to go out and check my other swarm traps!

  • I finally took the swarm box in the tree down 7 weeks after they moved in. Holy Smokes! It weighed close to 100 pounds and I nearly killed myself comming down the ladder. When I got it out to the bee yard, and opened it, every frame was full and it was over flowing with bees. They are sweet and gentle and appear to be Italians. I didn't have any Italians near the swarm trap, so I don't know where they came from.

  • Great job. Nice garden too. Best of luck to you and your bees!!!!

  • Holy Molie! That is a lot of bees. Do you put honey in that box to get them to come? Did you get stung?
