Spirit Temple route for my speedrun

This is not a speedrun itself. This is simply the route I will use to do the Spirit Temple right after getting the Hover Boots later on in my 100% speedrun.

Some parts I cut out so I could reduce the time of the video as much as possible so I could get the video under 100MB. The only parts I cut out were the Silver Gauntlet Cutscene and small mistakes that cost a few seconds that didn't advance me any further in the run.

Question, do you have to do this right after you get hover boots? I'm thinking it's better if you do other things, like get longshot, then you could save some seconds

Yes, you do have to do this right after the Hover Boots. The reason is so you can get the Silver Gauntlets before going to Zora's Fountain which requires the Silver Gauntlets to lift up the rock by FW's entrance that leads to one Gold Skulltula.

If you got the Longshot, you'd have to backtrack to Zora's Fountain which would cost minutes to do. And in the end, the Longshot would only save a total of 20 seconds at most.

I hope you know about changing the angle where you fall at ~8:40 since you had to rewalk that path in the stairs

Like I said in the description, this is NOT a speedrun, just the route I came up with. Of course I will angle better and land next to torch instead of walking up the stairs when I do the actual thing a while from now.

I dont think the Zelda devs New about TP at this time. i dont think it became an idea until around 2005. Though if it had been thought about it would have been interesting to see a glimpse of Midna in the mirror lol
