@43west thank you. As for your question, you will need a 1,000 watt power inverter and batteries totaling a minimum of 1,200 Ampere hours (Ah). Deep cycle batteries can handle the punishment from inverter current draw under a load. Battery hours needed will depend on the type of battery (lithium, lead acid, NiMH, etc.) in order to extend the life of the battery. -MrFixit
"Osskilation"???
doctorfuse007 1 month ago
@doctorfuse007 It's spelled Oscillation. A repetitive variation, typically in time, of some measure between two or more different states. Familiar examples include AC power. In the case of power inverters, they oscillate between 'ON' and 'OFF' power states that's controlled by Pulse Width Modulation. The base frequency at which this occurs is around 41kHz. The Ratio between ON time and OFF time is expressed as a percentage called Duty-Cycle. -MrFixit

You had my interest until you said oscillation with a hard "C".

@Lodestone1968 so?

@ESRepair Will a regular desktop computer be effected by a modified sinewave? Or is a pure sinewave necessary?
Bertziethegreat 5 months ago
@Bertziethegreat PCs are not affected by modified sinewave power inverters. Their power supply unit converts the incoming AC power into DC then passes thru a switching regulator that provides power for the PC. Most Battery back UPS use this technology too. -MrFixit
