Denise Shull, MA, is a globally recognized expert in risk psychology. She is also a leading theoretician in the application of neuroeconomics, as well as behavioral and emotional finance to the process of decision-making under uncertainty. Recently profiled by Bloomberg Markets Magazine, Ms. Shull is CEO of The Re-Think Group, a consultancy dedicated to optimizing risk management paradigms through the inclusion of effective qualitative analytics. The Re-Think Group is also the parent company of Trader Psyches Inc., which she founded in 2003. Ms. Shull is a regular panelist at The Battle of the Quants series and she has written for the CME Group Magazine, Thompson Reuter's Hedgeworld, AllAboutAlpha.com, and Greenfaucet.com. She is also known for her thought-provoking blog, Psychological Capital. Ms. Shull has appeared on CNBC, ABC's World News Tonight, The Discovery Channel, Cavuto, and PBS' Nightly Business Report. She belongs to The Society for Neuroeconomics, The Association for NeuroPsychoEconomics, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where she still actively trades the index futures contracts. Ms. Shull received her Master's degree in neuropsychoanalysis from The University of Chicago in 1995 and continued studies toward her PhD at The Mid-Manhattan Institute of Psychoanalysis.
