This MSP430 based LED lighting solution supports the Digital Addressable lighting Interface, or DALI. DALI was originally defined for ballast control in IEC60929 and was recently with IEC62386 to include the increasingly popular field of LED lighting. In order to address this growing application space TI has provided a number of evaluation tools and modules like the TPS62260 LED EVM. The TPS62260 LED EVM is used in this demonstration in addition to a DALI daughter board to translate the between the MSP430 voltage levels and the DALI physical layer.
