My only answer is; If I can hold it in my hands, gold has value to me, and intrinsically to others. I consider gold a store house of value, not a get rich quick scheme. I'm a poor man so owning much gold isn't realistic for me. I feel the better metal is SILVER for personal holding, and it's industrial value.

It does make sense, if you are buying gold, make sure you are buying actual gold that you are in possession of and NOT the electronic gold. I do have a feeling that it will be illegal to own gold by decree of the government should USD crumble, so what good is it to own it if you cannot use it? invest in food and water while you can, you can't eat gold.
