  • Two nights ago I had my second ever recognised episode of sleep paralysis(age 49.10).

The first episode scared me silly. My teenage kids still laugh at my screaming

    [Heartless sods :) ].

This time I watched and said to myself "this is not real- no matter how frightening it feels".

This mindfulness practice really does work.

Maybe next time I will start lucid dreaming.

    thanks

    Andrew

  • There are emotional and computational centers of activity in both hemispheres of the brain. There is no need to "integrate" these two halves. While some people may well feel like they are too rationally focused or too emotionally focused, this has nothing to do with their hemispheres. I do believe in creating a balance between the analytical and the associative, the emotional and the logical, the philosophical and the sensational. But maintaining or lacking this balance not a neurological issue.

  • @listening4me im no expert but if im not wrong the huge web that connects the hemisphere is known as the corpus callosum bt that's all i can say. im still learning (: HTH!

  • Is it the " hub" that does the integrating of the two,? or is it that when we can view an experience both as what the "right" sees and what the "left" sees... that Mind as a whole can then have the capacity to integrate?
