I'd recommend using an already built wordpress template. There are many free ones out there which might work.

For $50 or less you can buy some really kick ass ones.

Just do a Yahoo or Google search for "wordpress templates".

Adsense account gives you the ability to make money from your sites by displaying the 'google ad block' you've seen on so many sites.

I believe they have the ability to embed into videos but I've never done that.
