@dsizemore81 In TGM terms he's using an Angled Hinge through impact with to swivel in the backswing (it means that the cluface is always square to the arc as you said). But Hogan added a little swivel in the backswing (the cup in the wrist) with a very weak grip = open clubface at the top. Hogan had such strong hands to control an angled hinge with a weak grip... Mr Johnson's grip is super strong. They both never rolled the clubface through impact, but with very different muscle intentions!

@BenJogan Release? You're talking about the old "roll your right hand over your left" release, right? Terrible advice for anyone. There shouldn't be a conscious rolling or "release" as you say of the wrists. Zach's clubface is square to the arc.

@KnowYourTeam lol are u serious mr. KnowYourShit?

Zach can't release his hands because his club face is closed at the top. If he released the club, he'd hit a hook/pull very easily.
Moe Norman and Hogan had a flat swing, but their clubs were square in the backswing (Hogan sometimes a bit open). Zach is able to control the club, Moe and Hogan didn't. THEY DIDN'T FIGHT THE GOLF CLUB. Don't make comparisions with them.

Zach is the best. My personal favorite player.

very good controlled swing cant hit it left, repeats more often than not.
Major material lets hope he wins another as he is good enough. You have to hit it 320 to be king

he have a lot of things that historys best ball strikers had like moe norman and ben hogan, slightly close stance not much wrist action after impact and a nice and high followthrough
-
the swing is perfectly on plane and the only thing that looks wierd is the fact that he holds off his wrists after impact rather than flipping like most do.
funny, cuz he already won one...
