The Hostel films are disgusting and gory but they aren't exactly scary, i think gory and scary are two different things....

the first hostel was actually kinda disturbing and scary. gore doesn't scare me, but just the thought of being drugged thousands of miles away from home and waking up in a cold dark torture chamber is pretty scary. when i see a movie i want to be scared so i dont know why people even bother watching horror movies if they claim that nothing scares them. anyway, hostel II seemed more like a dark comedy to me and wasn't really scary at all...just nasty hehe. the first hostel had some eeriness.
