When you read that much, do you use a dictionary whilst reading or if you don’t understand something do you just skip it?

@TheSeductiveArts " I can't learn Spanish, because I will mix it up with my Italian " you need to trust yourself a little more. You can do whatever you want to.

Hey Steve, great videos you have here. I presume when you say reading, you are in fact translating as you go along correct? How long after reading do you start seeing serious gains?
Minnikoo 1 month ago
@Minnikoo It is a gradual process, with moments where you feel you have made gains, and moments when you feel that you have stagnated. I really feel that I am turning the corner on my Czech now. I guess I have put in 150 hours so far.

Would you do one of these for Italian?

Your life sounds really interesting! To the point of being material for a biography. If you haven't ever considered the thought of writing one, let it sink in a couple years. As far as I know, there is no biography of a polyglot out there. If you ever decide to do one, I'd be glad to read it.
Thanks for the video.

@chasejapan I wrote one about 7 years ago. The Linguist, a language learning Odyssey. You can read it at TheLinguist(dot) com website or order it from Amazon. It has been translated into 5 or 6 languages and is available as audio books at LingQ.
