@Maxxarcade oh, good choice to have! We have one from 1990, still working perfect today.

That's a very quiet motor! Not bad for the year it was manufactured!

@gellobeer Yep, same problem with this machine, only it was the pump seal by the motor. I decided to part it out rather than fix it, because it was too rusted.

@Maxxarcade I figured out where the water was leaking from. It was the water pump. There was a tiny hole in the plastic case. It was very simple and easy to replace, but the only down fall of it was that it cost $52 dollars to replace.

hey what a idea i have wash clothes upside down.....now if only could keep water in it while runnin!

@gellobeer - Check the agitator bolt and the rubber washer under it. This one was loose, and that may have been why it was leaking. I did not check it after finding that though
Hey Maxxarcade, is this washer still working today?

@Sharkie626 We scrapped it out a couple years ago. It was too rusted underneath to be worth fixing. I was keeping the motor for a spare, but will probably scrap that soon as well. The shaft is rusted to the point it's half gone, and the pump can't seal on it anymore.

@Sharkie626 Yep, and the old Whirlpool we have now uses the same parts. It's a reliable washer for how much it gets used.
