@1ns4ne1d10t I like the fiesta and i was thiking to buy one, but this top speed is not enough to me...

I think my new car will be a Opel Tigra 1.4 16v, punto sport 16v or a Bravo 1.2 sport and of course with some mod´s in the engine (chiptuning, air intake, etc...) hehe...

@carig121 Few mods in the carb and others few mods!!! And yes i reach that during my firsts races against a uno 1.1i.e.sx and a lancia y! then a buy a the mk2 R19 1.4RTI and top speed of 200km/h

@karlox87 Thats because its a Ford engine, Ford engines were inferior to most other engines. Even despite the fact Ford lovers like to believe that Zetecs were like a next engine size up and like to boast that they are class leading they really weren't. They had the poorest MPG out of every other powerplant and they were the most primative and roughest running petrol engines with known oil sump rot. Vauxhall and Fiat were far better tuned and far more refined/advanced then Fords Zetec engines

@stuters67 ...That doesnt stand Fiestas in favour of Punto's on the reliability front just because your wifes Punto was a bad apple and your Fiesta is a good one. Three of my friends who all had the same Fiesta Zetec 1.25's had terminal engine packups before they hit 100,000 miles and my sisters Punto 1.2 hit 234,000 miles before it needed a new exhaust gasket and its still going strong so I wouldn't count on a Fiesta being 100% better on reliability than a Fiat Punto.

ma che cavolo dici io ne ho avute 2 fiesta una 1.242....venduta con 170000km perfettamente funzionante e una 1.388 16v con 140000km che uso ancora adesso!!!

I think Fiesta it´s a funny car, but the problem of Fiesta it´s the top speed! For what i have seen they can only reach 180 / 185km/h, my first car was a 1990 Renault 19 1.2 with 60hp and the top speed was nearly 180km/h (176 / 177km/h) And then i buy a 1995 Renault 19 1.4 Rti with 80hp and the top speed was of 200km/h! if u guys check other cars with 75hp most of them, can reach near the 200km/h (106 xs, clio 1.2 16v, saxo vtl, corsa 1.2 16v, etc...)

@1ns4ne1d10t i have a mk 4 fiesta 1.2 zetec se it has no rust runs fine and has just sailed thru its mot. It has never let me down and i have driven around 12000 miles this year... however my wife owns a fiat punto 1.2 16v that has so far blown its head gasket (a common fault according to our mechanic), has the sump replaced and is currently waiting to have the rear radius arm replaced...

@postie2003 Its a known fact that Ford couldn't build cars properly and as topgear said "You can have the smartest chassis and suspension settings you want, but if your dashboard turns green in strong sunlight and the bootlid doesn't fit properly it doesn't matter you car is crap" Topgear pretty much sum it all up for the Fiesta in one fell swooping sentence.
