In this video I demonstrate the following:
Use "3D Ripper DX" to extract 3D Models (.3DR | .OBJ), Textures (.DDS) and Shaders (.VSH | .PSH) from a game running DirectX, specifically the Dodge Viper SRT10 from the game Need For Speed: Most Wanted.
Touch base on the NVIDIA Photoshop Plugin for opening & saving .DDS files.
Importing the extracted 3D Models in Autodesk 3D Studio Max and setting up the mesh and exporting to .FBX format for use with Unity.
Install the "JCar Unity Script" into Unity. Import the .FBX objects (Dodge Viper SRT10 body and wheel) into Unity and setting up with JCar script for driving. Setting up a very basic terrain for driving and testing the JCar script in Unity.
