You have to remember that it wasn't the Germans per say who were solely responsible. The SS, Schutzstaffel, was the Nazi organization responsible for the mass murdering of Jews, Gypsies, Homosexual, Crippled and Anti-Nazi. The SS comprised of a large percentage of German due to the fact that the Nazi party was founded by Hitler (An Austrian) in Munich, Germany. The SS was also made up of French, Polish, Japanese and even Russian.
What I'm trying to say is that it was the Nazi party responsible.
