Here's something i was working on. I decided to create a Space Shuttle launch in the game Half-Life. This is Space Shuttle Discovery, STS-121, launched on July 4, 2006. The background voices are actually recorded from this video: http://video.google.nl/videoplay?docid=-2510091430596079774&q=Nasa+STS-12...
Since this is an unfinished project, the video is quite short. I put it on hold due to bugs and limitations of Half-Life's entity system. I used Spirit of Half-Life for better entity support, but Spirit seems to have some bugs in its code. Im currenly redoing this project in Source, which is coming allong nicely. I will post a teaser video of it when i think the time is right.
Meanwhile, have a look at these screenshots of the Source version:

I will dedicate this project to the crew and relatives and friend of the crew of STS-51-L (1986 Challenger accident) and to the crew and relatives and friend of the crew of STS-107 (2003 Columbia accident).
If you own Half-Life (Won or Steam version), you can play this (the old HL1 version, this video) yourself. Goto: http://twhl.co.za/mapvault_map.php?id=4403 and download the zip. To install, unzip the contents of the zip (including the four dll files) into your Half-Life folder. Those four dll file are important and are required in order to play the map. The map wil not run without them. Have fun.
