I'm sorry you had to take this route. I know that it smelled like COMPLETE ASS coming from I-95 south. Richmond is just a horrible place and it smells like the armpit of America.
@LolaCrazy222 I like Richmond a lot and I live in NoVa. It does have its crime problems but it also has a lot of nice parts of town. I did a 10k road race on Monument Avenue some years back and that was really nice in through there. And it does have an impressive skyline. It's also cheaper to live there.
A lot of pepole have negative things to say about Richmond. That it's ugly. That you need somebody escorting you around in Richmond because that's how bad it is etc. etc. All of that is unwarented to say the least. My former girlfriend said that some parts of the city are not only safe but quiet too. For a city of it's size Richmond (like Atlanta) has a good skyline. There are lot of nice shops in downtown which I like because it reminds me of Trenton which I used to live close to.
love this video! I unfortunately live in Phoenix right now, but have lived in Richmond, was there this past summer. Ppl here need to watch this so they can see you're supposed to move to the right when someone is coming up. These idiots here will go slower in the left lane than the right and they WON'T move over! This video takes me away from this godforsaken town they call a city. Richmond has more city flavor than here! Phoenix is a giant suburb gone wild on the sprawl
Think what want? I want to be accurate and I believe that I am.
I originally picked Louisville out of the air as a comparable sized city/metro area and I was spot on with that, you are the one who wanted to get technical with regards to city population, which is not a fair comparison by any means based on how different cities draw their boundaries.

Thanks for posting this. I spent most of my youth in Richmond and this brought back tons of memories. Very cool.
