Shenandoah - Westminster Boys Choir

Westminster Boys' Choir (from London, UK) sings Shenandoah in the Teatro del Lago, Frutillar, Chile during their tour of South America. The theatre overlooks the lake and the volcano Osorno. The choir is conducted by Jeremy Walker and the arrangement was composed especially for the choir by Chris Hazell. The recorder solo is played by Aditya Chander.

The arrangement was commissioned by us from Chris Hazell. It is based on one he did for a recording made by Bryn Terfel. It is not published. Glad you like it!

Thanks for your great comments. Westminster Boys' Choir is the choir of Westminster Under School, the prep. school (boys aged 7-13) of Westminster School.

They were finalists in BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year Competition in 2008.

I cannot say that I am particularly fond of this arrangement. I have the feeling that it loses a bit of its "de profundis" in the added ornamentation. But, having said that. the choir is remarkably well trained. Kudos on the performance.
