If its any of your concern, my outrage at McGuire had less to do with his with schoolboy oikery and more to do with his absolute ubiquity on chanell nine. If there were a choice for olympic viewing I'd surely take it.

I think Eddie appeals to the Channel Nine audience. I found his calling of the aerials refreshingly raw, somewhat biased maybe, but he shows some passion. So what. The Homophobic slogan centred from the NSW Anti-discrimination board the equivalent to the Unrepresented Swill in Australian politics.Think you need to settle petal and just enjoy the parade on Saturday night.

What examples of far-left media bias do you put forward. And please be clear about what you mean by "far left". Are you talking about Stalin and Pol Pot or just any view that differs from the Howard era liberal party view?

You went with a youtube type reply with the Collingwood comment. I probably should have just left it at that. Also, are you serious about SBS and ABC? I have seen some pretty serious far left bias media coverage on both of those channels.

You can find quality journalism on nearly any non-commercial news source. BBC, ABC, SBS, PBS, Al Jazeera..... the list is long. The way to avoid shit journalism is stay away from Packer and Murdoch owned press.

As for your point about him "painting a picture" for the clueless masses - THAT is exactly why Packer and Murdoch journalism suck major arse - because they treat their audiences like ignorant idiots.

His "good natured jokes" were internationally reviled.

@kingazzaman I think the way that he is painting a basic picture for people who have no clue about any of the events is pretty good. He is catering it to the audience. His "homophobic" jokes were echoing the inside good natured jokes which originated by a few of the gay figure skaters.

If you know of a good source for quality journalism in 2010 please point it out to me because I haven't seen any in the last 20 years at least.
