@juxtamoron Camtasia. I use it for nearly all my tutorials. For really short (less than 5 mins) tutorials, I sometimes use Jing Pro - which is made by the same company that makes Camtasia.

I'm inable to make a connection. What user name and password. From where? my computer, hostgator, wordpress? it would help if you informed to what user ID and password. Thanks

@simplyforservers You use the username and paswsword given to your by your web host. If you use HostGator, the username and password to access your site via FTP is the same username and password you use to log into your hosting cpanel.

Do I need to type ftp before the adress of my site?

It depends on your web host. For example, I host with HostGator, and I do not have to enter ftp when I setup a site; but some other hosts do require ftp in the web url.
So contact your web host and ask them.
