If you notice, John and his Marie died together, just the way they lived... they were one of life's great celebrations and we were blessed to call them friends.

From the 1980s onwards, Hartford struggled with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. On June 4, 2001 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, at age 63, he died of the disease.[

The dialogue mentions his genre. When he first hit hit the scene, traditional bluegrass folk thought he was some evil, hippie type of guy. Years later, they came to love him. John is one of a kind.

He and his wife died within about 6 months of each other. A lot of good people have done gone on.

Thank you for honoring my friend John and his wife Marie. Its fitting his grave is facing a back porch like seen. Just like when my grand father Home E Dillard Sen and I use to play with him on our back porch when he came to visit. Thank You so much!
