As an Ex-Pat, and a moron, I'd hate to know that your vote actually counts in the election of a leader I have to live under. I didn't vote for Gillard, but at least I can come up with a better reason not to like her and to not agree with her then saying she is a "Bitch on heat".

Having accountants in my family, the GST was and still is a nightmare - however it brought our tax system in line with that of over 80 others who have a GST or VAT system in place. This allowed repayment of considerable federal deficit thanks to the Labor government, and it is still today, modest in comparison with the VAT/GST tax rate effected in many other states...

Look at Hawke's time in office- how many liberals can say Medicare was a bad idea? Howard brought in GST, put Australia at war for the US, and created a shitstorm with the unionists.
