Bicycle Village, 22nd May at Jackson's Boat

Bicycle Village is a 1 day bike and music festival held in May, where independent shops, cycling groups and organisations promote cycling at all ages, by providing number of activities, advice and advertising healthy way of spending free time and promoting beautiful, untouched nature inside Manchester. The BICYCLE VILLAGE philosophy is to help people to understand how wonderful, healthy and important cycling is.


During the festival we are proud to offer:

Bicycle Museum - a large number of spectacular vintage bikes from around the Britain and other countries.

Bike Doctor Session - where visitors will be able to learn basics of maintaining their bike.

Urban cycle Training session - for all who haven't cycle for a while or struggle on the busy roads.

Mountain Bike Training session - for all interested to improve their skills in mountain riding

Guided Cycling Rides - one of the cycling groups invites for guided 1/2 hour cycling rides around the Sale and Chorlton Park area to explore beautiful nature and surroundings with professional cyclists.

Free bike hire - we will hire bikes for 1/2 hour for anyone interested exploring the area.

Cinema - we will present independent short films about all aspects of cycling.

Concerts - we will guest number of local bands from the Greater Manchester arearepresenting various types of music from Folk to Blues.

Biggest Recycled Bike Auction - an auction will be held of revamped rescued and recycled Bikes of all type, age and size. ( all the bikes are donated by local community)

Power Pedal music show

Art workshop for kids - a workshop where kids will be able to change their bikes into animals.

Children play area with Bouncy Castle, face painting and ice cream van.

The festival is free of charge and it's open for everyone. However, during the event we will ask people for donation as the BICYCLE VILLAGE festival will raise money for The Children's Adventure Farm Trust that offers free adventure breaks and activities to children who are disadvantaged by illness, disability and poverty, from all over the Northwest
