@Titan52berg Uhm, 1954, not 1953. And you do realize that they used the "tired, worn out" puppet and suitmation in the first film? And if it's so tired and worn out, I suggest you look at the 90s Gamera films. Those monsters look real, and they are still suitmation.

The BEST Godzila was the first from 1953! For some reason, even in black and white, it just seems as though it was an actual living creature as opposed to the 'puppet effects' and the worn out 'man-in-a rubber-suit ' gimmick!
