Hi SaucySnip,
You look and sound very good on your videos. You explain it perfectly. Thank you.
In the UK we call this milky adhesive "Gold Size". But it is the same thing I think. I have to admit to not researching this but would assume it is the same.
Nice video and very clear instructions!
Take care,

Great! I'm going to try this myself! Thank you!
hi,instead of using a goldsize...can i used a paper paste or a glue instead or either a rugby as a alternative adhesive for this. May it works? after applying goldleaf can i put a laquer glo on the top as a topcoat finishing touch..help me know plz. A million thnkz

@fniniel The adhesive needs to be something that remain tacky. I've read the monks that used to create illuminated manuscripts made a liquid out of honey & water & something else. They would paint it where they wanted the gold to be applied and then breathe their warm hot breath on the honey adhesive, & quickly stick the gold leaf to it. You can use spray adhesive, but obviously that doesn't work well for detailed areas. I couldn't say about "paper paste" or "rugby". Buy the leaf and experiment.

should i dry first the adhesive before putting a goldleaf...? ipls. i want to know.. thanks.

@fniniel Yes, I dry it for about 30 seconds with a hair dryer. When it's tacky to the touch, and not milky colored, it's ready for the gold leaf to be applied.
